Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Raith Rovers defender Kyle Benedictus the star man...

GK - Derek Gaston (Arbroath)
Craig Wighton and Dale Hilson were the most impressive outfield stars during Arbroath's triumph over Queen of the South but Gaston gets the nod for making a couple of key saves when the game was still in the balance as the Red Lichties moved into the play-offs.

DR - Stewart Murdoch (East Fife)
The East Fife midfielder/defender put in an energetic shift for Darren Young's men as they defeated Peterhead in Methil, a result which keeps them just ahead of Montrose in the final play-off spot.

DC - Lewis Toshney (Inverness CT)
The defender was excellent at the heart of the defence as John Robertson's men overcame going behind, and a controversial red card call, to reach the final of the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup at the expense of Rangers Colts.

DC - Christopher Jullien (Celtic)
Kristoffer Ajer got the winning goal but it was one of his centre-back partners who most impressed as Celtic got themselves a massive victory in the title race, beating Aberdeen 2-1 at Pittodrie.

DC - Kyle Benedictus (Raith Rovers)
The centre-back grabbed the opening goal as Raith Rovers booked a place in the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup final, beating Partick Thistle 2-1 on Friday night. For his key role at both ends of the park, he is this week's star man.

DL - Josh Doig (Queen’s Park)
The on-loan Hibs defender was excellent as Queen's Park continued their strong form with a 2-0 victory over play-off rivals Elgin City at Hampden.

MC - Greg Docherty (Hibernian)
From one impressive Hibs player to another, Docherty scored a magnificent opener and was a real driving force in the centre of the park as Jack Ross' men defeated Kilmarnock 2-1 on Sunday.

MC - Connor Scully (Cove Rangers)
Cove are now six points clear at the top of League 2 after a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over title rivals Edinburgh City. Rory McAllister scored the all-important winning goal, but it was Scully who stood out consistently over the course of the match.

MC - Nat Wedderburn (Airdrieonians)
Airdrie ended their four-game run without a goal with a 2-0 win against Clyde in Lanarkshire. Wedderburn strolled it in the middle of the park for Ian Murray's men.

FC – Darryl Duffy (Stirling Albion)
Dylan Bikey was excellent for the Binos as they made it five straight away wins with a 4-1 victory at Cowdenbeath but it is fellow forward Duffy gets the nod for his fine double – the first a brilliant lob which was his 200th career goal.

FC - Marios Ogkmpoe (Hamilton Accies)
Hearts were unable to deal with the Greek striker, who dominated the home centre-backs in the opening stages at Tynecastle, scoring twice before a red card for Jamie Hamilton ultimately cost Accies an important win as it ended 2-2.
