Livingston William Hill Premiership

Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace selects his SPFL Team of the Week, with Livingston defender Jon Guthrie the star man...

GK - Elliot Parish (St Johnstone)
The goalkeeper made two fine stops and kept his team in the game during the first half of Saints' 2-1 victory at Kilmarnock.

DR - Stephen O'Donnell (Motherwell)
Thrown right into action after signing earlier in the week, O'Donnell impressed with his strong running from deep and his brave defending as Motherwell earned a point, and were the better team, in a 0-0 draw with Hibs.

DC - Paul McGinn (Hibernian)
The home side saw their winning run ended in the 0-0 draw with Motherwell at Easter Road but McGinn impressed again on the right side of defence.

DC - Jack Fitzwater (Livingston)
Fitzwater excelled in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Rangers. The summer signing was often on hand to clear a cross to safety, or get in an important block or interception, as Gary Holt's men frustrated their visitors.

DC - Jon Guthrie (Livingston)
As good as Fitzwater was, Guthrie was even better. The centre-back was excellent last term and this was his first stand-out performance of the new campaign. He was dominant against Rangers and a big reason Livingston earned a draw. He is this week's star man.

DL - Mark Reynolds (Dundee United)
The veteran centre-back takes a spot at left-back in this team (hey, he is left-footed) after a composed and reliable showing in Dundee United's come-from-behind victory at Ross County.

MR - Peter Pawlett (Dundee United)
Pawlett netted the equaliser in Dingwall and continued his fine start to life under Micky Mellon as United made it seven points from a possible 12 back in the top flight.

MC - Allan Campbell (Motherwell)
Excellent against Livingston in midweek, Campbell continued that form with another star showing in the draw with Hibs on Saturday. The match may have lacked quality, but the same cannot be said of Campbell.

MC - Aaron Tshibola (Kilmarnock)
He would end the match on the losing side after St Johnstone fought back from 1-0 down, thanks in large part to Ross Millen's red card, but there was no doubting Tshibola's quality as he bossed the midfield area and netted his side's goal.

ML - Michael O'Halloran (St Johnstone)
Though Saints were under the cosh for a lot of the game, O'Halloran put in a tireless shift in attack and was eventually rewarded when his chase after a seemingly lost cause led to the winning goal.

FC - Jonathan Obika (St Mirren)
The only out-and-out striker to start and score last weekend, Obika was always likely to find a place in this team for that reason, but he was also a handful in other ways during St Mirren's 1-0 triumph at Hamilton.
