GK - Trevor Carson (St Mirren)
The Buddies kept up their solid start to the cinch Premiership season with a 1-0 victory over Hibs in Paisley. While the hosts fully deserved the win, and should have added a least a couple more goals, it could have been a very different outcome had Carson not made a brilliant save from Joe Newell five minutes into the second half.
DEF - Lewis Neilson (Heart of Midlothian)
The youngster received his first start after joining from Dundee United this summer and put in a thoroughly impressive and composed showing during Hearts' 3-2 victory over St Johnstone.
DEF - Kerr Waddell (Montrose)
An excellent performance from the centre-half helped Montrose to a 3-0 victory over Kelty Hearts. Stewart Petrie’s side appear to have got over their slow start, with consecutive victories taking them up to fifth place in cinch League 1.
DEF - Nicky Jamieson (Stenhousemuir)
Stenny boss Stephen Swift and his men got a hugely important 2-1 triumph at Forfar Athletic to end a four-game losing skid in all competitions. Jamieson got the opener and was imperious during the triumph.
MID - Steven Lawless (Partick Thistle)
Thistle remained in second place in the cinch Championship with a 2-1 home win over Raith Rovers. Lawless netted what would prove to be the winning goal shortly before the half and excelled in general.
MID - Liam Polworth (Kilmarnock)
Killie came from behind to defeat Motherwell on Saturday with two goals in seven second-half minutes overturning a first-half deficit. Polworth was excellent throughout, showing his typical creativity but also putting in a dynamic shift to help his side.
MID - Cammy O’Donnell (Alloa Athletic)
The 20-year-old was one of several Alloa stars to shine during the 5-0 thumping of Peterhead. It was the youngster's first start of the league season but there should be many more to follow after this display.
MID - Jonny Hayes (Aberdeen)
The Irishman is proving age is just a number as the 35-year-old put in another sparkling showing amid a strong start to the 2022/23 campaign. His rampaging runs down the flank helped the Dons rack up the goals on 10-man Livingston as the hosts ran out 5-0 winners.
FWD - Liel Abada (Celtic)
It must have felt particularly sweet for the Israeli attacker this past weekend as Celtic thumped nine goals past Dundee United with no reply. What better way to mark his first start of the season than with a hat-trick in a record-breaking win? For that honour, he gets this week's star man.
FWD - Kyogo Furuhashi (Celtic)
But why stop at one star man? And why stop at one player from Ange Postecoglou's merciless outfit? We typically don't include two players from one team if we can help it, but it's not every week there's a 9-0 victory and it's certainly not every week there's two players with hat-tricks in the same team. Kyogo did his in under 45 minutes and, for that, deserves to share the star man award with his team-mate.
FWD - Antonio Colak (Rangers)
Apologies to Dipo Akinyemi, Bojan Miovski, Simon Murray and Conor Sammon. You all picked a bad week to score a double! Colak gets the nod over them for his part in Rangers' comfortable 4-0 win over Ross County, taking his tally to seven goals in seven games since coming to Ibrox.
