Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View from the Terrace names his cinch SPFL XI after the weekend's games...

GK - Zander Clark (Hearts)

The Scotland international saved a penalty at 0-0 and made another pair of big second-half saves to preserve a clean sheet and help Hearts defeat Celtic 2-0 on Sunday in the cinch Premiership.

DEF - Miles Welch-Hayes (Dunfermline Athletic)

The on-loan Livingston full-back was excellent as Dunfermline continued their recent revival, taking seven points from their last three games with a 2-0 victory over Ayr United to sit in fifth place in the cinch Championship.

DEF - Bevis Mugabi (Motherwell)

Motherwell got their first league victory at Ibrox in 27 years with a 2-1 win on Saturday afternoon. Theo Bair drew plaudits for an excellent goal and a troublesome shift up top, but Mugabi was the stand-out for the Steelmen with a gutsy showing at centre-back.

DEF - Lee Hamilton (Clyde)

Clyde's survival mission in cinch League 2 is fully up and running as they followed up last week's stunning 6-1 win at table-toppers Stenhousemuir with a 2-1 triumph over fellow relegation battlers Elgin City. Hamilton, who has been consistently excellent since signing in January, put in another big performance.

DEF - Darren Lyon (Arbroath)

The Red Lichties looked dead and buried against Raith Rovers, trailing 2-0 due to goals from Zak Rudden and Josh Mullin, but they came roaring back after the break to win 3-2. Lyon impressed on the left side of defence.

MID - Brogan Walls (East Fife)

Alan Trouten got a double, but the best player in black and gold during East Fife's 3-1 win at Spartans was their right-winger Walls. He consistently tormented the home defence as Dick Campbell's side rebounded from an early deficit to win at the site of their manager's final match in charge of Arbroath earlier this campaign.

MID - Sean McAllister (Inverness CT)

Forwards Billy Mckay and Alex Samuel were in with a shout for inclusion, but we've settled on McAllister for a fine performance in the centre of the park as Inverness ended Greenock Morton's long unbeaten run with a 2-0 win at Cappielow.

MID - Scott Robinson (Partick Thistle)

Robinson was outstanding for the Jags as they ran cinch Championship leaders Dundee United very close on Saturday but ultimately had to settle for a point from the clash at Firhill.

MID - Blair Lyons (Montrose)

Lyons got the opening goal and was a constant menace in the most entertaining game in the cinch SPFL this past weekend as Montrose edged out visitors Alloa in a seven-goal thriller at Links Park.

FWD - Dom Thomas (Queen’s Park)

Queen's Park may have had to settle for a point from their trip to Airdrieonians in the cinch Championship but Thomas was at his joyful best - and netted the opener - in the 1-1 draw.

FWD - Ahkeem Rose (Hamilton Accies)

This week's Star Man comes from the match at New Central Park where Hamilton Accies put five goals past Kelty Hearts without reply. Rose bagged three of those for John Rankin's side to earn our top accolade.
