Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from a View from the Terrace names his SPFL Team of the Week, with St Johnstone keeper Toby Steward the star man...

GK - Toby Steward (St Johnstone)
Two terrific stoppage-time saves from the goalkeeper helped preserve a 2-1 victory for St Johnstone as they stretched their lead at the top of the William Hill Championship to five points following Friday night's triumph over Dunfermline Athletic. The 20-year-old loanee from Portsmouth has been in excellent form since signing this summer and is this week's Star Man.

DR - Jayden Richardson (St Mirren)
The right-back not only put in a great shift during St Mirren's penalty-shoot-out Premier Sports Cup victory over Kilmarnock on Friday night, he also scored one of the goals of the season - sending an unstoppable volley into the top corner from outside the penalty area to put his side 2-1 ahead.

DC - Stephen Welsh (Motherwell)
The loanee from Celtic impressed in his second start for his new side as Motherwell were able to book themselves a semi-final meeting with St Mirren in the Premier Sports Cup after dumping out Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

DC - Craig Howie (Clyde)
Clyde moved away from the bottom end of the William Hill League 2 table with a 2-1 victory over Edinburgh City. Howie was superb in the opening half as the hosts had to deal with some City pressure and helped provide the foundation for his team to go and win the match late on.

DL - Cameron O’Donnell (Alloa Athletic)
After successive defeats, Alloa got back to winning ways in William Hill League 1, defeating Cove Rangers 2-1 at the Indodrill Stadium. O’Donnell impressed at left-back where he continually dashed forward to link effectively with Kalvin Orsi.

MR - Cameron Congreve (Dundee)
A terrific performance from the winger helped Dundee to record their first victory of the William Hill Premiership season with a last-gasp win over Livingston at Dens Park. Congreve was a menace during his time on the park, including laying two goals on a plate in the 3-2 triumph.

MC - Nico Raskin (Rangers)
The Belgian midfielder, restored to the starting XI, was the key difference as Rangers beat Hibs 2-0 to advance to the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals. Not only was Raskin Rangers' best player on the day, he also netted the opener.

MC - Connor Smith (Hamilton Accies)
A double from the midfielder helped Hamilton Accies record a dominant 4-0 victory away to Kelty Hearts as John Rankin's side won in League 1 for the first time since the second weekend of the season.

ML - Luis Longstaff (Inverness CT)
Scoring from inside his own half to round off an impressive 2-0 victory away to fellow full-time side Queen of the South may have been enough by itself to get Longstaff in this team, but he was also one of the best players on the park as the Caley Jags stayed within a point of Stenhousemuir at the League 1 summit.

FC - Euan O’Reilly (Stenhousemuir)
The wide attacker put in a great display and netted twice as Stenny kept themselves top of League 1 with a 3-1 win over a determined Peterhead side who put up a fair fight at Ochilview.

FC - Josh Fowler (Queen’s Park)
What a find the man with the excellent surname has been for Queen's Park this season! The Englishman scored his eighth and ninth goals of the season as Sean Crighton’s men heaped further misery on Ross County by winning 2-1 in the Highlands.
