Hamilton Academical manager Martin Canning has made Peterborough United defender Alex Penny his first signing of the summer.
The 21-year-old, who was capped by Wales at U16 level and previously played for Nuneaton Town, has agreed a two-year contract at New Douglas Park.
Canning told the Accies website: "Alex is quick, strong and has the athleticism to operate at centre-back, full-back or wing-back. We’ve been working really hard to get the right players in and it’s something we will continue to do over the coming weeks as we look to strengthen the squad.”
