Dumbarton have made Ross Forbes their latest addition of the summer following his recent departure from Morton.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder began his career with Motherwell and had a loan spell with Dumbarton in 2009. He has also played for Partick Thistle and Dunfermline Athletic.
Sons boss Stevie Aitken told the club website: "Ross's quality has been evident for many years and to bring him back to Dumbarton is something we consider to be a real coup. He's been very receptive since we first made our interest known and we're confident he'll be a major asset to us."
