Celtic v Rennes preview

Celtic face Rennes in the Europa League at Parkhead on Thursday evening - live on ESPN with an 8.05pm kick-off - in part two of the double header against the French side.

It was 1-1 when the teams met a fortnight ago and Neil Lennon's men are still looking for their first win in Group I after a defeat to Atletico Madrid and draws with Udinese and Rennes.

Celtic are missing Emilio Izaguirre, Scott Brown, Kelvin Wilson, Mo Bangura, Joe Ledley and Charlie Mulgrew, while Ki Sung Yueng and Mark Wilson are both doubtful.

Lennon told the club website: "Every game is important regardless of the competition or the status of where we are in any of them. We want to win tomorrow to keep alive our hopes in the group and obviously go to Motherwell on Sunday and put on a strong performance.

"Rennes are a good counter-attacking side. They're strong and athletic and have some very good footballers in the team, and we have to be wary of that."
