James McDonaugh was voted Manager of the Month and former Falkirk defender Liam Henderson was named Player of the Month.
City kicked off December with a 2-1 home win over leaders Cove Rangers then racked up back-to-back away victories over Annan Athletic (2-0) and Stirling Albion (1-0) before beating third-placed Cowdenbeath 2-0 at Ainslie Park.
Henderson scored four times last month and was part of a defence that conceded just once, leaving Edinburgh two points off the top going into this weekend's match away to Elgin City.
