Griffiths voted Player of the Month for August

Hibernian striker Leigh Griffiths has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for August.

Griffiths, on loan from Wolves, scored in the Edinburgh derby and bagged a double in the 2-1 win away to St Mirren as Pat Fenlon's men bounced back from an opening-day defeat.

Ross County boss Derek Adams was voted top boss in August, with the SPL new boys still unbeaten, and Celtic striker Tony Watt landed the Young Player of the Month prize.
