Kilmarnock honour Fowler

Kilmarnock defender James Fowler's testimonial match took place at Rugby Park on Wednesday night, with Sheffield Wednesday running out 4-1 winners.

Marlon Harewood grabbed a hat-trick for Dave Jones' Owls while Lee Johnson was on target for Kenny Shiels' team, who travel to Inverness in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League on Saturday.

Fowler joined Kilmarnock from Gairdoch United in October 1997 and has played in every season of the SPL with the exception of the 1998/99 campaign, amassing 369 league appearances.

Only Motherwell's Steven Hammell can match that tally although Fowler's Killie team-mate Garry Hay has been at Rugby Park since 1995.
