The 17-year-old could make his debut for the Ladbrokes League 2 leaders in Saturday's game against bottom side Brechin City at Glebe Park.
He told the club website: "I’m at the stage of my career where I need to get more experience of playing first-team games and hopefully I will be able to do that with Cove."
