The 34-year-old former Clydebank player had been with Accies since 2012 but now makes the move to the Energy Check Stadium at Firhill.
Jags boss Ian McCall told the club website: "I’m delighted to bring Darian to the club as he is very different to the midfield options we currently have within the squad.
"He comes with a proven pedigree from the Premiership and a winning mentality, which is vital for us to develop over the rest of the campaign."
