Inverness CT defender Josh Meekings has been voted Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month after helping Caley Thistle complete March unbeaten

Inverness CT defender Josh Meekings has been voted Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month after helping Caley Thistle complete March unbeaten.

The Highland club drew with local rivals Ross County and Dundee then beat the Staggies 2-1 in the second derby match before defeating Hibernian by the same score at Easter Road.

The 20-year-old joined Terry Butcher's side from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2011 and recently signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2015.

Inverness CT are in third place in the table and on course for clinching a European spot for the first time. They begin their post-split fixtures with a trip to play leaders Celtic on Sunday.

Motherwell boss Stuart McCall won the Manager of the Month award and Fir Park midfielder Nicky Law was named Player of the Month for March.
