Former Celtic and Livingston midfielder Tony McParland fell in love with football again last season at Queen’s Park after a new two year break from the game and he is now hoping to secure a deal to keep on playing.
The 29-year-old took time off to qualify as a plumber after disappointing spells at Barnsley, Wycombe Wanderers, and Queen of the South however a six month spell with the Spiders has him raring to go again.
McParland said: “I would love the chance to prove myself in a higher league again. I have enjoyed playing again and thank Queen’s Park for that but I would like to push higher again.”
“It was great being back in a dressing room and playing again. I scored a few good goals too so next season cannot start enough for me.”
