Team of the Week

Craig Fowler from A View From the Terrace names his SPFL Team of the Week, with four-goal Elgin City striker Kane Hester the star man...

GK - Marc McCallum (Forfar Athletic)
The Loons shot-stopper got himself a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw with cinch League 2 leaders Dumbarton at Station Park. That was almost not the case, with veteran striker John Gemmell having a chance at the end but McCallum was equal to it.

DEF - Jordon Forster (Kelty Hearts)
Kelty moved two points clear of bottom club Peterhead in cinch League 1 with a 1-0 win over previously second-placed Airdrieonians. Alfredo Agyeman got the late winner and it was also an excellent defensive showing by the hosts, with Forster standing out above all others.

DEF - Ryan Porteous (Hibernian)
Fresh from his excellent performance for Scotland, Porteous was at it again at the weekend to help his club side record their third successive win with a 2-0 triumph at Ross County. He even netted the opening goal.

DEF - Liam Fontaine (FC Edinburgh)
Edinburgh are up into second place in League 1 thanks to a 2-1 win at Montrose with Danny Handling's late goal doing the damage. Fontaine excelled at the back for Alan Maybury's side, who are confounding expectations following their promotion.

DEF - Hayden Coulson (Aberdeen)
The left-back has thoroughly impressed since making the move to Pittodrie in the summer and shone again at the weekend as Aberdeen thumped Kilmarnock 4-1.

MID - Reo Hatate (Celtic)
If at first you don't succeed... Hatate had been denied a special effort with a shot from distance which cracked the woodwork. But he didn't let that put him off trying a second time as he found the net with an excellent finish to give Celtic a 2-1 win over Motherwell.

MID - Connor Scully (Cove Rangers)
Cove moved three points clear of fellow cinch Championship strugglers Arbroath and into seventh place in the table thanks to a 2-0 win secured through the goalscoring exploits of Scully, who netted both goals for Jim McIntyre's side.

MID - Stephen McGinn (Falkirk)
Another two-goal win thanks to two-goal heroics from a midfielder. This entry comes from League 1 where Falkirk defeated Clyde 2-0 thanks to McGinn's influence.

FWD - Kane Hester (Elgin City)
The star man award goes to the performance of this weekend, or any weekend, for that matter. Hester struck four times and notched an assist as he single-handedly destroyed Annan Athletic on Saturday in cinch League 2.

FWD - Antonio Colak (Rangers)
The Croatian forward put Hearts to the sword with a two-goal first-half performance at Tynecastle. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men were back to their swaggering best as they put four goals past Hearts without reply.

FWD - Stevie May (St Johnstone)
The club legend was instrumental at Tannadice as St Johnstone defeated Tayside foes Dundee United to register their third successive game without loss. May scored one, set up another and was hugely unlucky to see a terrific effort come back off the crossbar.
