The remaining fans of Third Lanark have made a host of former players at the club, which went out of existence in 1967, Life Members of their Supporters Club.
Attempts to resurrect the club that re-launched recently as an amateur side to at least a Junior level are on-going between Supporters Chairman Pat McGeady and club owner and former River City actor Simon Weir and the players have been recognised for their support with this aim.
The players honoured were: Evan Williams, Tony Connell, Findlay McGillivray, Allan Mackay, John McCormick, Willie Cunningham, Drew Busby, Mike Jackson, Hugh McLaughlin, George Fyfe, Peter Dallas, Matt Gray, Ian Hilley, Dave Hilley, Paddy Buckley, Joe Davis, Jimmy Robb, Owen Cosker, and Allistair Miller.
