The pupils at Whitletts Primary School received an early leaving gift courtesy of The Co-operative Insurance Cup and Ayr United FC’s. With Whitletts Primary School closing at the end of this term and the pupils moving on to new schools, this was a great opportunity for the whole Primary to share a great football experience. They received a Co-operative Insurance Cup Masterclass supervised by Ayr United Youth Coach, Craig Richmond. The children also received a Co-operative Insurance Cup Masterclass Certificate and there was the opportunity for pupils to have their photo taken with The Co-operative Insurance Cup.
The Co-operative Insurance Cup Masterclass is just one of the youth initiatives planned for the 2010-2011 Cup campaign. For Round One of this season’s Co-operative Insurance Cup, the SFL, the clubs and The Co-operative Insurance are giving youngsters the chance to support their local team by offering free entry for Under 16s plus there will be youth coaching sessions, Co-operative Insurance Cup skills posters and mini footballs up for grabs.
Commenting on the Cup Campaign Aileen Walters, Sponsorship Manager for The Co-operative Insurance, said: “In addition to free Under 16s tickets, free mini footballs and posters, the plans we have in place for The Co-operative Insurance Cup Round One also include having junior mascots and the home and away youth teams involved in a fun half-time challenge. I’m sure The Co-operative Insurance Cup games will be a great way to start the new football season and something the whole family can get involved in.”
