Aberdeen are through to their first Scottish Cup final since 2000 after a 3-2 win over holders Hibernian in a thrilling game at Hampden Park.

Derek McInnes' side will face Celtic or Rangers in the decider on Saturday May 27 as they aim to claim the trophy for the first time since 1990.

The Dons got off to a dream start when Adam Rooney scored after just 12 seconds and they looked on course for victory when Ryan Christie added a second but Grant Holt, on as a substitute, pulled one back before the break.

Dylan McGeouch equalised for the Ladbrokes Championship winners on the hour mark but, with extra time looming, Jonny Hayes' drive took a deflection off Darren McGregor and found the corner of the net.
