Grant Gillespie opened the scoring and Carlton Morris struck twice after the break before Simon Murray pulled one back for the bottom club.

Leaders Celtic were held to a 1-1 draw by Ross County at Parkhead. Leigh Griffiths gave them the lead midway through the first half but Stewart Murdoch equalised in the second half.

Earlier in the day, Inverness CT came from behind to defeat Kilmarnock 3-1 in the Highlands. Killie went ahead through Kallum Higginbotham but the game turned when keeper Jamie MacDonald was sent off. Greg Tansey converted the penalty and Ross Draper and Danny Williams sealed victory for ICT to leave the Ayrshire side favourites to be in the play-offs.
