Alloa have made Brechin defender Colin Hamilton their first summer signing after securing their Championship status at the weekend.

The 23-year-old former Arbroath player makes the move to the Indodrill Stadium, having helped Brechin reach the play-offs - where they were narrowly beaten by Alloa at the semi-final stage.

Striker Greig Spence and goalkeepers John Gibson and Craig McDowall, as well as Adam Asghar, Stephen Simmons and Jonathan Tiffoney are all leaving the club.

Wasps boss Danny Lennon said: "Colin Hamilton is a talented lad who I have admired for a long time. He can play in a number of positions, but he predominantly plays at left-back. I was determined not to let him slip away because I knew there was a lot of interest in him."
