Alloa Athletic have appointed Jack Ross as their new manager following the recent departure of Danny Lennon.
The 39-year-old former Dumbarton No 2 was U20 coach at Hearts before leaving Tynecastle in October and his first match in charge of the Ladbrokes Championship's bottom club will be against St Mirren at the Indodrill Stadium on Saturday.
Chairman Mike Mulraney told the club website: "It is important to us at this time that the manager selected had some experience of the Championship.
"We had around 70 candidates and I believe Jack Ross will fit well into what we believe Alloa Athletic is about - there were some excellent candidates and Jack was the man we wanted."
Ross added: "I am delighted to get back into football as quickly. This is the first opportunity I have been given to manage on my own and I am hugely grateful for that and looking forward to it."
