Annan hope to have attacking midfielder David Hopkirk available for their next match away to Elgin City a week on Saturday.
The former Hamilton Accies and Queen of the South player has been out of action since breaking a metatarsal in the 4-4 draw with Stirling Albion in November.
The 21-year-old is now back in full training and manager Jim Chapman said: “David is not far away at all but he was not quite ready for Peterhead last night. With a 10-day gap until our next game, we will work hard to have him ready for Elgin.
“He has been a miss as he is a real threat from midfield and hopefully he will grab some goals in the run-in.”
