One-time Wigan Athletic target Ryan Donnelly is searching for a new club after spending a frustrating season at Brechin City and Albion Rovers.
The 22-year-old former Airdrie striker spent a week training under the eye of now Everton boss Roberto Martinez in 2012 after hitting 25 goals in 33 games for the Diamonds.
Donnelly moved to Brechin last summer in a bid to kick-start his career but, despite scoring three times in his first three games, the front man moved to Coatbridge in January on a short-term deal.
He said: “Training at Wigan seems a long time ago but I am determined to get back to the form I showed to get my trial down there.
“I never settled at Brechin and when I went to Rovers I was cup-tied and that made it hard to get a regular game as they did so well in the Scottish Cup. I am only 22 so I have a lot of football ahead of me.”
