Arbroath have signed former Hibernian midfielder David Gold from League 2 rivals Berwick Rangers ahead of the 2015/16 season.
The 22-year-old has also played for Cowdenbeath and Queen's Park and will be hoping to help the Red Lichties mount another promotion challenge in the forthcoming campaign.
Gayfield boss Todd Lumsden has already snapped up East Fife keeper Allan Fleming, Dundee midfielder Jamie Reid and Formartine United defender Graham Hay.
Arbroath have also confirmed the signing of former Cowdenbeath and Airdrie striker Lewis Coult, who was released by Stirling Albion at the end of the season.
