Arbroath have signed striker Kane Hester from local Junior side Arbroath Vics, where he scored 27 goals last season.
The 19-year-old netted against Dundee United and Exeter City this week and will provide competition for fellow new recruits Lewis Coult and Martin Grehan at Gayfield.
The Red Lichties have also signed midfielder Jamie Clarke from Broughty Athletic after he impressed in the recent pre-season games.
Todd Lumsden's side kick off their Ladbrokes League 2 campaign at home to Elgin City on Saturday August 8.
