Arbroath’s recent signing Jack Smith is facing a lengthy spell on the side-lines after suffering a dislocated elbow in training. The former St Mirren, East Fife and Morton 20 year old front man joined the Gayfield men after a successful trail period in August however he picked up the injury during a training exercise last Thursday.
Manager Allan Moore said: “We were doing passing drills when Jack fell and was injured. He was in a lot of pain and we immediately called for an ambulance. His dad and him never got home from hospital until 5 in the morning so it was a very long night for the kid.”
“It is really disappointing that he will be out for a while as he was making a very positive contribution to the side.”
