The Diamonds went ahead through Liam Watt inside five minutes but Craig Moore equalised before half-time and Brian Gilmour grabbed the winner midway through the second half.

Dunfermline thumped Stenhousemuir 5-0 at Ochilview thanks to goals from Joe Cardle, Faissal El Bakhtaoui (2), Shaun Byrne and Mickael Antoine-Curier.

Forfar lost top spot after going down 2-1 to Cowdenbeath at Central Park. Gavin Swankie cancelled out Gordon Smith's opener but Greig Spence got the winner.

Bottom club Brechin City picked up their first points in a 3-2 victory at Peterhead. Robert Thomson bagged a double and Dene Shields was also on target for Darren Dods' side. Shane Sutherland and Rory McAllister netted for the Blue Toon, who had Scott Ross sent off late on.

Scott McBride scored the only goal with 11 minutes left as Albion Rovers defeated Stranraer 1-0 at Stair Park to move up to fifth place.
