Ayr United have signed left-back Daryll Meggatt for season 2016/17 after he left Dundee earlier this month.
The 25-year-old former Queen's Park and Alloa Athletic defender joins Paul Cairney (Stranraer) and Michael Rose (Aberdeen) at Somerset Park for the forthcoming Ladbrokes Championship campaign.
Ayr boss Ian McCall told the club website: “Darryl is an aggressive defender and with the other clubs that were interested we are delighted to get him on board - he has a proven track record in the Championship.
"We are still looking for another defender, a wide player and strikers. We have made two offers recently for strikers however they chose to move elsewhere.”
