New Dumbarton boss Stevie Aitken took his summer signing tally to nine at the weekend with the addition of Darren Barr and Gordon Smith.
Barr, 30, is a former Scotland defender who spent last season with Ross County and has also played for Falkirk, Forfar, Hearts and Kilmarnock while 24-year-old ex-Livingston, Hearts and Raith Rovers striker Smith turned down the offer of a new deal at Stirling Albion.
Aitken has also brought in Grant Gallagher, Kevin Cawley, Gregor Buchanan, Darren Miller, Mark Brown, Mark Docherty and Willie Gibson since replacing Ian Murray as manager.
