Liam Boyce hit a hat-trick as Ross County beat St Mirren 3-0 in Paisley in Monday night's Scottish Premiership match.
It was an eighth win in nine games for Jim McIntyre's men, who are now six points clear of the relegation zone and trail both Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle by only a single point.
Former Cliftonville striker Boyce gave the Staggies a half-time lead and Saints' night got worse when Viktor Genev was sent off early in the second period.
Boyce struck again with 15 minutes remaining and the 24-year-old completed his hat-trick in stoppage time to leave Gary Teale's team 10 points adrift of Motherwell at the foot of the table.
