Ayr United have signed defender Paddy Boyle on a two-year deal from League 1 rivals Airdrieonians.
The 29-year-old began his career as a youngster with Everton and has played for a number of clubs, including Dumbarton, Partick Thistle and Dunfermline.
Manager Ian McCall told the Ayr website: "I am thrilled to get Paddy to sign as in my opinion he was the best left-back in our league last season.
“I signed him when I was at Partick and he did well for me there and he will have no problems fitting into our squad. With Paddy our left-back and Nicky Devlin at right-back we have the best full-backs in the league."
