Football fans will enjoy all the drama of this season’s Scottish Premiership Play-Offs after the SPFL announced BT Sport will broadcast all six games live while BBC Scotland will provide live radio commentary and TV highlights.
Introduced last season following the formation of the SPFL, the first ever Scottish Premiership Play-Offs lived up to the hype. Hamilton Academical defeated Hibernian in a penalty shoot-out at Easter Road at the end of their dramatic two-legged final last May, thereby gaining promotion to the Premiership and relegating Hibernian to the Championship.
Anticipation for this year’s Scottish Premiership Play-Offs is again huge with final Championship positions being determined this coming weekend and competition just as fierce at the lower end of the Premiership with four games remaining to be played.
Now, it has been confirmed that one of the SPFL’s key broadcast partners BT Sport will screen all six games of the Premiership Play-Offs live, covering the quarter-final on May 9 and 17, the semi-final on May 20 and 23 and the final on May 28 and 31.
Neil Doncaster, SPFL chief executive, said: “We’re delighted this exclusive deal with BT Sport allows us to move our live TV coverage on to another level. Last season the final was broadcast live but for this season we will see all six Scottish Premiership Play-Off matches live on BT Sport.
“The Scottish Premiership Play-Offs have breathed new life into Scottish football and we await another six massive games this May with both BT Sport and BBC Scotland.”

As well as BBC Scotland’s live radio commentary and TV highlights of the Scottish Premiership Play-Offs, BBC ALBA will be screening both legs of the Scottish Championship Play-Off final.
The dates and kick-off times for the Scottish Premiership Play-Offs are as follows:
Saturday May 9, 2015 (5.30pm): Premiership Play-Off quarter-final, 1st leg (BT SPORT 1)
Sunday May 17, 2015 (3.30pm): Premiership Play-Off quarter-final, 2nd leg (BT SPORT 2)
Wednesday May 20, 2015 (7.45pm): Premiership Play-Off semi-final, 1st leg (BT SPORT 1)
Saturday May 23, 2015 (12 noon): Premiership Play-Off semi-final, 2nd leg (BT SPORT 1)
Thursday May 28, 2015 (7.45pm): Premiership Play-Off final, 1st leg (BT SPORT 1)
Sunday May 31, 2015 (3.00pm): Premiership Play-Off final, 2nd leg (BT SPORT 1)
