Winger Joe Cardle has returned for a second spell with Dunfermline Athletic after leaving Ross County at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who has also played for Port Vale, Clyde, Airdrie and Raith Rovers, was at East End Park between 2009 and 2013.

Also back with the Pars is 28-year-old goalkeeper Sean Murdoch, who was most recently playing in the United States with Rochester Rhinos and can count Forfar, Hamilton Accies, Accrington Stanley and Hibernian among his former clubs.

Dunfermline boss Allan Johnston told the club website: "I’ve been speaking to the boys now for more than a month and I’m just finally glad that they are on board."
