Souleymane Coulibaly opened the scoring but a Moussa Dembele double quickly turned things round, then James Forrest, Leigh Griffiths, Scott Sinclair (penalty) and Tom Rogic all struck in the second half for Brendan Rodgers' team.

Second-placed Heart of Midlothian were held to a 0-0 draw by Ross County at Tynecastle, with Ian McShane sent off late on for the visitors.

Inverness Caley Thistle leapfrogged Dundee with a 3-1 victory over the Dark Blues at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. Lonsana Doumbouya, Greg Tansey (penalty) and Liam Polworth scored for the hosts before Nicky Low pulled one back.

Partick Thistle moved off the foot of the table after a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at Firhill. Chris Erskine opened the scoring but Scott McDonald equalised late on for Mark McGhee's men.
