Celtic beat 10-man Dundee United 2-0 at Hampden on Sunday to win the Scottish League Cup for the 15th time in their history.
Kris Commons pounced from close range to open the scoring in 28 minutes - after Radoslaw Cierzniak had done well to keep out his intial effort - at a point when Jackie McNamara's men were down to 10 men as Sean Dillon was off the pitch receiving treatment.
United, in their first League Cup Final since 2008, had a penalty appeal waved away when Ryan Dow went down under a challenge from Scott Brown and they had skipper Dillon red carded early in the second half for a high tackle on Emilio Izaguirre.
Substitute James Forrest sealed Celtic's first League Cup success since 2009 when he found the net from the edge of the area with 11 minutes left but the winger had a late penalty saved.
