Celtic were beaten 2-1 by Molde in Europa League Group A at Parkhead on Thursday night as the Norwegians qualified for the last 32.
Mohammed Elyounoussi gave the visitors the lead midway through the first half but Ronny Deila's side equalised when Nir Bitton's shot from distance was turned into the net by Kris Commons.
Daniel Berg Hestad scored what proved to be the winner after 37 minutes and Celtic ended with 10 men, with Bitton sent off 13 minutes from time.
The other game in Group A between Ajax and Fenerbahce ended 0-0 in Amsterdam, with Celtic's next fixture against the Dutch team in Glasgow on November 26.
