Celtic today unveiled new signing Erik Sviatchenko, who has joined the club from Midtjylland on a contract until the summer of 2020.
The defender links up with Ronny Deila's side ahead of the home double header against Hamilton Accies and St Johnstone, with the League Cup semi-final against Ross County to come at Hampden at the end of the month.
The 24-year-old Denmark internationalist told the club website: "It has been a long, tough way for me to try to get a contract in a foreign country and when Celtic came, I could feel that this was a very good decision for me.
“It was very clear that Celtic is a winning club and has been winning trophies. They have won the championship for the last four years and I won it in Denmark and I want to be remembered."
