Celtic have signed Belgian defender Dedryck Boyata on a four-year deal from Manchester City.
The 24-year-old is Ronny Deila's first summer signing as the Parkhead boss looks to build on last season's Premiership and League Cup double.
Boyata, who joined City as a youth player in 2006, told the club website: "The reason I chose Celtic is because they had a good plan for me. I spoke with the manager a couple of times and the plans he had for me sounded really good and I was attracted by that.
“He said he needed a centre-back to replace Jason Denayer, play football, bring the ball from the back and start playing from the back. He was looking for someone to win headers, show that he’s strong at the back and show that he’s there."
