Falkirk are seeking a hat-trick of wins over Hibernian this season when the sides meet at Easter Road on Saturday.
Back in August, the Bairns left the capital with a 1-0 success and just last month Peter Houston’s side secured another three points by the same winning margin.
Falkirk Technical Director Alex Smith said: “We have won the two games between us so far and both games have been good ones. It has been great to pick up the six points on offer from a good side like Hibs, especially as the game at Easter Road could have gone either way.
“I thought that we had the better of the game at our place but we had to wait until injury time to get the winner through David McCracken.
“It was a good strike from him and, who knows, that goal could turn out to be a pivotal moment in Falkirk’s season. That gave us a lift and we went on a really good run on the back of it that saw us climb the table.”
Falkirk head into this game in the same manner they did for the last meeting - with a narrow win over Alloa - and Smith said: “That was a very hard-fought win as Alloa played well in game where very few chances were created by either side. We got the breakthrough when Rory Loy scored and it would have been good to grab a second to kill the game off.
“A lot of games across the Championship this season are really tight. Teams set up to make sure you do not score against them and if it works they switch on to the fact that they still have a chance to get all three points in the second half and start trying to attack you.
“That is what happened against Raith Rovers when they beat us 1-0 to end the great run that Falkirk had been on.”
Bairns boss Peter Houston has started to reshape his squad for the second half of the season with Aaron Muirhead, Mark Kerr, John Baird and Taylor Morgan all coming on board, with Kerr involved against the Wasps last Saturday.
Smith added: “The manager made a very good signing in Mark and when he came on at half time last weekend he did what Mark Kerr does, and that is never to give the ball away. Peter has made a great addition there in my opinion and the other boys he has brought in will add value as well.
“Our plan remains to get into the top four and winning against a Hibs side that have not lost since they played us would take us another step towards that.”
