There is a full card of Championship fixtures this midweek, with something to play for in all of them as the pressure mounts at both ends of the table.

Dumbarton v Hibernian - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Dumbarton are secure in mid-table despite losing to Cowdenbeath at the weekend but Hibernian have slipped to third place after a run of three straight defeats. Alan Stubbs’ side won 6-3 on their last visit to play Ian Murray’s men, with the Easter Road contests ending 0-0 and 3-0 for Hibs.

Hearts v Alloa Athletic - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Robbie Neilson’s title-winners suffered only their second defeat of the season when they went down 2-1 at Ibrox on Sunday while Alloa are looking to bounce back from a 4-0 defeat to Livingston in the Petrofac Training Cup Final. The Wasps dropped into the bottom two at the weekend and lost 2-0 on their last visit to Tynecastle.

Livingston v Falkirk - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Livingston lifted the Petrofac Training Cup with an impressive display against Alloa at McDiarmid Park but are six points adrift at the foot of the Championship and face a huge battle to avoid the drop. The Bairns earned a vital 1-0 home win over Raith on Saturday to stay fourth in the table. The three meetings this season have finished 0-0, 1-0 Falkirk and 2-0 Falkirk.

Raith Rovers v Cowdenbeath - Wednesday, 7.45pm
Raith’s weekend defeat at Falkirk all but ended any play-off hopes for Grant Murray’s men but this is a huge game for Cowdenbeath, who are two points clear of second-bottom Alloa after beating Dumbarton on Saturday. Rovers have won all three derbies this season – 3-1, 2-1 and 1-0.

Queen of the South v Rangers - Thursday, 7.45pm (BT Sport)
Queen of the South remain just outside the play-offs after Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Easter Road. James Fowler’s team won this fixture 2-0 in December and only champions Hearts have managed more home victories this season. Rangers have looked revived under Stuart McCall in recent games and are up to second spot following Sunday’s 2-1 defeat of Hearts.
