Midfielder Scott Chaplain has left Albion Rovers to take up a job with the Scottish FA as a Player and Coach Development Manager.

The 31-year-old former Ayr United and Partick Thistle player helped Darren Young's team to the League 2 title in the season just ended.

He told the club website: "It's been a really hard decision because I've loved my time at Rovers but I've always wanted to work in full-time football and this is a great opportunity."
