Kilmarnock have named Steve Clarke as their new manager following the recent departure of Lee McCulloch from Rugby Park.

The 54-year-old former Scotland full-back has agreed a deal until 2020 and will take up his post on Monday. He will be assisted by former Blackpool and Charlton defender Alex Dyer.

Clarke was assistant at Newcastle, West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa and has managed West Bromwich Albion and Reading.

He told the Killie website: "I'm delighted to be back in football and I'm especially delighted to be named Kilmarnock manager. In my discussions with the board we spoke about stability and, while we need to fix the current situation, I'm looking to provide that stability to this great club.”
