Celtic have signed former England striker Carlton Cole on a deal until the end of next season.
The 32-year-old, who left West Ham in the summer, began his career at Chelsea and had loan spells at Wolves, Charlton and Aston Villa before moving to Upton Park in 2006.
Cole has been training at Lennoxtown in recent weeks and has now signed up at Parkhead after shaking off an injury.
He told the Celtic website: "There were other clubs interested but I showed my commitment to stay here when I was injured. You can’t really sign an injured player but Celtic accommodated me well and I thought this was the best place for me to be.
“The players have taken to me well, and I’ve taken to them - there’s a great atmosphere in the changing room and I just wanted to be part of it.”
"This was a no-brainer; I didn’t need advice. You already know from down south how big Celtic are as a club all around the world.”
