Commons joins Hibernian on loan

Hibernian have signed Kris Commons on loan from Celtic until January ahead of tomorrow's game against Morton at Cappielow, live on BBC ALBA.

Hibernian have signed Kris Commons on loan from Celtic until mid-January ahead of tomorrow's game against Morton at Cappielow, live on BBC ALBA.

The 33-year-old attacking midfielder played for Stoke City, Nottingham Forest and Derby County before joining Celtic in January 2011.

Commons hasn't played this season but now links up with his former Parkhead boss Neil Lennon to boost the Ladbrokes Championship leaders' title bid.

Lennon told the Hibs website: "Kris is an experienced, technically gifted player so him coming in at this time is of benefit to the side as the games start coming in over the festive period.

“With us missing a lot of our regular midfield players, it is good to bring in someone with a lot to offer, even just on a short-term basis.”
