Corcoran goes for surgery

Blues winger set play-off target

Stranraer winger Marc Corcoran underwent surgery yesterday to fix a ‘Gilmore’s Groin’ condition that has troubled him since November and manager Stephen Aitken is fearful that his season is over.

The 33 year old former Hamilton Accies, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Ross County and Stenhousemuir player may just make the Blues squad for the end of the season.

Manager Stephen Aitken said: “Marc will be out for 6 weeks and that takes us until mid-April. He will need a few weeks training after that but if we are involved in the play-offs he would be a terrific addition to our squad.”
