Jonny Court scored the landmark 5,000th SPFL goal on Saturday.
The 19-year-old, on loan to East Stirlingshire from Raith Rovers, netted the opener in Shire's 2-0 win over Elgin City at Ochilview in Ladbrokes League 2.
A total of 4,995 league goals had been scored before Saturday since the SPFL was formed in summer 2013. Nadir Ciftci struck for Celtic in the early kick-off at Motherwell and Denny Denholm of Forfar grabbed the first goal in the 3.00pm kick-offs.
Stephen Mallan (St Mirren) and Bobby Linn (Arbroath) took the tally to 4,999, with Court claiming goal No 5,000. Dom Malonga of Hibernian netted the 5,001st goal in their win over Dumbarton.
