Albion Rovers hard working midfielder Liam Cusack is battling hard to make the Coatbridge club’s biggest Cup tie in 80 years after being injured in a 2-0 defeat from Stirling Albion last month.
The Cliftonhill side face Rangers at Ibrox this Sunday in their first Scottish Cup quarter final since 1934 and 24 year old Cusack is looking to avoid the heartbreak of missing out after breaking a toe and suffering ligament damage at Forthbank.
Manager James Ward: “Liam has worked really hard to get fit again and the extra 24 hours until Sunday’s kick off may work in his favour. He has been a big figure in our cup run so far and I would like to have him available for this game.”
