Charlie Mulgrew was given a run-out after a lengthy absence due to injury as Celtic were defeated 4-3 by St Mirren in an enthralling encounter on Monday.

Ross Cameron’s winner in the second minute of added time gave the Buddies their 10th win of the season. Despite having got off to the best possible start - leading 2-0 through Joe Chalmers’ own goal and Lewis Morgan’s strike - Celtic battled back and took the lead thanks to Derk Boerrigter and Michael Duffy’s double. Morgan’s second of the game, and 12th of the season, drew St Mirren level, before Cameron’s stoppage-time goal sealed a dramatic victory.

Champions Aberdeen were held to a 1-1 draw by Hibernian at Ainslie Park on Tuesday, the Hibees’ fifth consecutive draw. Kalvin Orsi was on target for the Dons, while Connor Duthie’s penalty ensured a fifth-place finish for the Edinburgh side.

Rangers recovered from 2-0 down to beat Partick Thistle 3-2 at Forthbank. Matthew McInally and Kevin Nisbet had the Jags two goals to the good, but second-half strikes from Darren Ramsay and Jamie Mills put Ian Durrant’s side back on level terms. Mills hit his second seven minutes from time to guarantee a top-four finish for the second successive season. For Thistle, their accumulation of 32 points in 2015 - one shy of their entire total last season - means they finish in seventh place.

Kevin O’Hara’s second-half hat-trick helped Falkirk beat Inverness CT 3-0, their first win in six matches as they finished sixth in the table. O’Hara - the youngest member of the Scottish Cup finalists’ side, finished the season as top scorer for the Bairns.

Having won three of their last four games, Kilmarnock’s positive end to the season was dented as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Ross County. Aaron Splaine’s early free kick put Killie ahead, but Russell Dingwall and Scott Ferries edged County in front. Dylan Pooler - a regular for Kilmarnock in recent weeks - scored twice before Richard Brittain earned a draw for the visitors.

Connor McLaren’s second goal of the season helped St Johnstone on their way to a ninth-place finish - his solitary strike gave the Perth Saints a 1-0 win over Dundee.

The match between Motherwell and Hamilton Accies at Fir Park was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch and has been rearranged for next week.

In Thursday evening's games, Celtic saw off Kilmarnock 4-1 at Lennoxtown and Rangers beat Hamilton Accies 4-0 at Forthbank.
