Dundee hit six, Saints see off Falkirk

Kane Hemmings grabbed a double and Darren O'Dea was also on target while Frazer Wright and Gregor Buchanan netted for the Sons, who led 2-1 at the break. East Fife still top the section thanks to a 2-1 win over Peterhead at Bayview thanks to goals from Jonathan Page and Paul McManus (penalty) after Jordon Brown had opened the scoring.
 
St Johnstone lead Group B following a 3-0 home victory against Falkirk. Liam Craig missed a penalty but Danny Swanson converted two penalties before the break and Joe Shaughnessy rounded things off. Elgin City beat Brechin City 4-2 at Borough Briggs, helped by a double from Craig Gunn, one a penalty. Daniel Moore and Darryl McHardy also netted, with Willie Dyer and Alan Trouten (penalty) replying.
 
Group C leaders Dundee United won their second penalty decider after a 1-1 draw at Inverness CT, with Stewart Murdoch cancelling out Scott Boden's opener. Dunfermline saw off Cowdenbeath 3-0 at Central Park with an Andy Geggan double and a Lee Ashcroft goal.
 
Raith Rovers are top of Group D after beating holders Ross County on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Dingwall where Brian Graham had equalised from the spot after an Erik Cikos own goal. Alloa were 2-0 winners away to Montrose with goals from Greig Spence and Isaac Layne.
 
Partick Thistle came from behind to beat Group E leaders Queen of the South 2-1 at Firhill. Chris Erskine and Steven Lawless scored late on after a Liam Lindsay own goal gave QOS the lead. An Adam Brown double saw Airdrieonians beat Stenhousemuir 2-1 at the Excelsior Stadium, with Mark Gilhaney on target for the Warriors.
 
A Louis Moult brace helped Motherwell to a 3-1 win at Annan in Group F after Rabin Omar cancelled out Marvin Johnson's opening goal. Section leaders Rangers were 3-0 winners against East Stirlingshire at Ochilview on Friday night.
 
Ayr United moved to the top of Group G with a 1-0 victory over Edinburgh City at Somerset Park thanks to a goal from Brian Gilmour. Hamilton Accies beat St Mirren 3-0 at the SuperSeal Stadium with goals from Ali Crawford, Dougie Imrie and Massimo Donati.
 
Morton have a five-point lead in Group H following their 2-0 win away to Kilmarnock - Gary Oliver and Jai Quitongo got the goals for Jim Duffy's men. Clyde picked up the bonus point for beating Berwick Rangers on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Broadwood.
